Our Ski Chalet-style Cabin is perched near the top of Seven Devils on Hanging Rock Ridge, overlooking parts of Julian Price, Moses Cone, & Grandfather State Parks (including Flat Top Mtn, The Blowing Rock, Bull Mtn, Calloway MacRae & Linville Peaks, AKA the Grandfather Mountain Profile View), & down into the valley below. We're surrounded by nature, but not remote for amazing views without creepy cabin vibes. Everything is better @ 4,000 ft elevation: views, better weather, birds singing, animals playing outside & our popular resort town is centrally located between the best High Country Attractions & Activities.

★Our home offers stunning, unobstructed, year-round, long-range, panoramic mountain & valley & direct SUNRISE views right outside your windows from 4,000 feet elevation, & very coveted seasonal views of the famous "Grandfather Mountain Profile View." Some frequently-seen amazing experiences from our home include a breathtaking sunrise with colors that your camera can't even capture, those “blue hour” and “golden hour” times of incredible lighting that often make for spectacular pics, along with cloud inversions that make you feel like you’re on a treehouse island. We picked a run-down cabin with amazing views & location to remodel into a comfy family retreat that we would love to share with you.
★Our home is nestled among mature Rosebay Rhododendrons & other trees, providing even more beauty and privacy from your treehouse-feeling perch on the side of a ridge overlooking Grandfather Mountain State Park, Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, Julian Price Memorial Park, The Blowing Rock, Grandfather Stables, & even some neighborhoods in the valley below us. Many animals may visit our home very discreetly during your stay including: black bears, red foxes, wild turkeys, Hummingbirds Hawks & lots of other birds, groundhogs, a bunny, and deer frequently come out to play at dawn and dusk.
★Visiting higher elevations in the mountains is peaceful, refreshing, exhilarating, & offers solitude, but our home is also in an upscale resort-like neighborhood, which offers quick accessibility to top attractions/wineries/restaurants/shopping, resort-like amenities such as pickleball, our own hiking trail, dog park, etc. & even access to paved roads with daily snow plowing/reliable utilities. The quiet town of Seven Devils, NC, which is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Appalachian Mountain Range, is best known as the site of a popular wintertime snow tubing resort Hawksnest (which claims to be the largest tubing facility on the East Coast). Many of our guests have said that Seven Devils is like a “storybook town.” We are also expecting a new mountain coaster at Hawksnest soon & our own horse stables & trail riding outfitter to reopen after their Hurricane Helene cleanup & construction is complete.
